Made under the GIZ project Conservation and Sustainable Management of Coastal and Marine Protected Areas (CMPA) of the Indo-German Biodiversity Programme, the film talks about the importance of Palk Bay’s unique ecology and the role of diverse critical ecosystems such as sea grass, corals, and mangroves. The film also highlights the economic relevance of these ecosystems. Palk Bay is said to be a gold mine of marine biodiversity, an ecological paradise. In recent years, anthropogenic pressure and impact of climate change is a cause for grave concern among the local livelihood dependent on it.
