Indigenous tribal communities, like the Jamatias of Tripura, have long treasured their tradition of passing down ethnomedicine through oral history. This film captures and celebrates their time-honoured wisdom in treating ailments while also exploring the recent challenges they face due to the loss of natural forests.

 

This film is part of ‘Stories from the Ground: Northeast India,’ a film series by The Habitats Trust and Dusty Foot Production, featuring 50 shorts by local filmmakers that celebrate the culture, traditions, and biodiversity of the region.
