Basanta Goala serves as the Head Worker at Jalinga Tea Co., the world’s first carbon-neutral tea estate. He works alongside his wife, son, and daughter-in-law, all of whom contribute to the sustainable practices of the garden. Jalinga Tea Co. is pesticide-free and relies solely on organic compost, supporting over 3,500 families in the community. This innovative estate not only champions eco-friendly farming but also sets a benchmark for sustainable tea production.
