The NEN Farm School, launched by the North East Network in 2016, is an experiential educational program blending theory and hands-on practice. Themed ‘Bridging the Farm to Plate Gap,’ it addresses the growing disconnect between today’s youth and their local, sustainable diets. By reconnecting young people with their roots, the program aims to teach them about sustainable food systems and farming, fostering a deeper connection with their culture and nature.
This film is part of ‘Stories from the Ground: Northeast India,’ a film series by The Habitats Trust and Dusty Foot Production, featuring 50 shorts by local filmmakers that celebrate the culture, traditions, and biodiversity of the region.
