The Tale Protection Squad, comprised mainly of contractual staff from the Department of Forest in Ziro, is dedicated to safeguarding the Tale Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh, India. This sanctuary is part of the Eastern Himalayan Biodiversity Hotspot and derives its name from a local edible herb known as 'Tale' (Allium hookeri).
